Central Multiple-Server Administration and Reports Collection
We have more branches and need to monitor printing at all sites. Can we collect data about printing to a single location?
For organisations with a large branch network, the SafeQ systems provide the interconnection of individual print servers and thus enable the centralisation of both statistical and economic reports covering all branches.
Central Data Collection with SafeQ
| mass deployment via MSI packages |
Depending on the scope of the infrastructure, the Central Data Collection feature is either available as a standalone server or as part of the SafeQ server.
If no addressed accounting of copies and/or secured print is required at the branch, data can be collected by Windows spooler monitoring utilizing the SafeQ Local Monitoring tool which passes the results to the SafeQ Micro-server at a determined location. This SafeQ Micro-server is used only as a data storage point to send data in certain time intervals to the Central Data Collection server.
The Central Data Collection server provides a web interface with pre-defined reports (to users, centres, devices and locations) which can be modified in the same way as a MS Excel pivot table. Therefore, you can create a report according to the current needs of the client, i.e. throughout all branches.
Moreover, in the Enterprise version you can connect online MS Excel to predefined OLAP cubes in the database and create your own reports without any limitation. Only statistical data is sent over the network in batches. The data transfers occur in pre-defined time intervals to reduce network load.
