Y Soft will produce world-class identification technologies
Y Soft has signed in Zurich a partnership agreement with LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, a world leader in the development of contactless smart card technologies for personal identification. Within this partnership, LEGIC will provide a licence for the use of its technology. Starting in 2009 LEGIC expects an expansion of its technology which has been successfully used internationally in 25 countries in Central and Eastern Europe.
Y Soft will enable sales of cutting-edge LEGIC technology in not only Europe, but also Japan, Israel and the USA where the company is finding great success. Thanks to its own technology, Y Soft, as the producer of highly advanced YSoft SafeQ® printing solutions, will now have the opportunity to offer its clients the most advanced personal identification technology as part of its printing solution.
“The use of contactless readers with LEGIC technology, combined with the SafeQ print solution, brings together with authorisation and printing costs operations, such as presentation, access con-trol, electronic payments and other office automatization applications, new opportunities for our clients — especially in areas with high security demands,” Ondřej Krajíček, Research & Developement General Manager says. partnership between LEGIC and Y Soft will help increase this technology's share in European markets, as well as help Y Soft solidify its position in these markets.
“Integration of the contactless LEGIC technology with Y Soft SafeQ will strengthen our position as the technological leader in the printing solutions sector,” adds Martin Uddin, Chief Technical Officer. „“This undertaking is our response to the demand for office automation technology based systems.”
“This collaboration is even more important for Y Soft in that it does not involve merely the sales of a technology. The company has developed its own card readers, where it has implemented the LEGIC technology. This is a combination of LEGIC technology and our company's know-how. Thanks to this, our company entered into this partnership on the top level, that is, as a manufacturing partner. The new readers will be produced in our plants and will meet the highest authentication demands,” explains Martin Fejtek, Chief Operation Officer, who is responsible for production in Y Soft.
“We are pleased with this partnership with Y Soft, a company with a large international presence,” adds Dr. Otto Eggimann, LEGIC Vice President for Sales & Business Development. “SafeQ clients will be able to profit from our innovative, highly developed technologies, that will help them reduce their operating costs and increase the security of their administration.”
LEGIC is the world leader in the 13.56 MHz technology for contactless smart cards. The company was founded in 1990.
